Toms Towing & Heavy Haulage: is a busy owner-operated transport company based in Gillman. We have been operating for over 20 years in the transport industry and specialise in transporting all types of equipment and heavy machinery across Adelaide and Interstate. We have a large fleet of trucks including Tilt Trays of varying lengths, Prime Movers, and Low Loaders.
The Operations Assistant: will be responsible for supporting the Operations Team in the day to day running of the vehicles and drivers.
Specific job responsibilities for the Operations Assistant include:
- answer incoming customer phone calls, email management, creating Manifests.
- coordinating & allocation jobs to Drivers as they come in from customers.
- assisting with input of daily jobs to our in-house transport management program
- vehicle servicing and maintenance requirements,
- driver fatigue management, daily vehicle pre-trip checklist management,
- organising vehicle and trip permits.
- Must be able to work from Office located at Gillman.
About You:
- Previous experience in the Transport Industry is desirable.
- Previous Truck driving experience would be an advantage.
- You are reliable, have your own transport and can work autonomously.
- Excellent computer skills including proficient use of Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Previous experience with TN360 is desirable but not essential.
- Ability to work well under pressure with competing priorities.
- A quick learner who is adaptable and works well in a team environment.
- Permanent Resident or Australian Citizenship
This role is a Full Time position with for an immediate start with training provided to the successful applicant.
An attractive salary package will be negotiated with the successful applicant dependent on skill and experience.
