Join the School of Health Sciences and the Centre for Mental Health and Brain Sciences in a primary appointment for a 5-year Wellcome Trust-funded research project (2024-2018) focused on predicting relapse in individuals with bipolar disorder. Reporting to Professor Greg Murray, Director of Mood Disorder Research and Practice, the Project Manager will oversee the coordination of a multi-study project spanning Australia, New Zealand, India, and Germany.Responsibilities include managing the projects four work packages, supervising project staff, collaborating with international study leads, overseeing budgets, and ensuring timely completion of the project’s Australian study. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in mental health research, with the ability to build professional networks globally.This role offers the opportunity to lead a dynamic international clinical research team, contribute to scientific publications, and make a significant impact in the field of mental health research. To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the following key accountabilities:
- Completed large-scale research projects in clinical psychology or psychiatry.
- Experience recruiting participants with a mental health diagnosis.
- Experience conducting clinical trials or cohort studies.
- Demonstrated ability to flexibly respond to and independently address unexpected challenges emerging in completion of a large-scale research project.
- Advanced written and oral communication skills.
- Degree in psychology or related discipline
- Post graduate training in psychology or related discipline (preferred)
