We are currently seeking an experienced candidate with expertise in regulatory management, compliance or legislation interpretation (or similar!) to make the move into a community-focussed, diverse NSW Government Department.
Based in St Leonards, this role will see you working as part of a driven and collaborative team whilst also offering work-from-home flexibility on a hybrid work model.

- Be responsible for conducting tobacco, e-cigarettes and smoke-free compliance activities
- Participate in inspections of regulated retailers and smoke-free locations to provide face-to-face education and monitor compliance in-line with regulatory priorities
- Compliance monitoring and issuing Penalty Notices and cautions to members of the public allegedly in breach of the provisions of relevant legislation
- Collect, collate and analyse data relating to compliance monitoring and enforcement activity
- Experience in a similar role is essential
- Candidates will ideally have a certificate in government investigations or equivalent qualifications
- Experience in regulatory and compliance activities is required, including interpretations of legislation
- Experience in the Government sector would be beneficial
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders is essential
- For this role, candidates must be able to pass a full police check
