Working at CQUniversity

Join the Queensland Future Skills Partnership at the forefront of innovative education and workforce development. The QFS Partnership is a collaboration between BHP Mitsubishi Alliance (BMA), CQUniversity and TAFE Queensland, and is now entering its third stage, dedicated to the rapid development and delivery of automated technology training pathways across Vocational Education and Training and Higher Education. Explore an exciting opportunity to lead the transformative "Tomorrow's Trainers" project, a pivotal phase three initiative managed by CQUniversity on behalf of the QFS Partnership.

As the driving force behind the project, you will spearhead the development and implementation of strategies that encourage collaboration between private sector companies, training providers, and universities. This project aims to create innovative models for engaging vocational educators and trainers to deliver training in high-demand and shortage areas, specifically within the automation, electrical, and engineering sectors. Your role, reporting to the Partnership's Management Committee, will involve researching industry challenges, investigating industrial relations dynamics, leading stakeholder engagement, and developing a comprehensive strategy for increasing vocational education teachers in the automation industry.

We are seeking a dynamic individual with a passion for navigating challenges and opportunities in the industry, vocational education sector, and government. You should have a keen interest in addressing the shortage of qualified educators in high-demand areas, particularly in the Mining METS and related sectors. Your responsibilities will include driving stakeholder engagement, developing and implementing pilot projects, and assessing the success of strategies in collaboration with industry, government, and public providers. If you are ready to challenge established norms and drive new solutions across the education and training, Mining, and METS sectors that support the fourth industrial revolution, join us in shaping the future of workforce development in Queensland.
