Project Manager,
Strategic Engagement! Work with a team that is passionate about the environment to oversee the design, development and delivery of engagement resources and innovative programs for a stratified stakeholder user group. This role is crucial in maximizing the impact of ecosystem data and products collected, collated, and created by TERN.
Key responsibilities will include:- Identify key issues for government, industry, and other stakeholders, then design and manage targeted campaigns using TERN's data and analysis.
- Create educational events, workshops, and materials for specific audiences like students, researchers, and businesses, ensuring alignment with TERN's brand strategy.
- Work with internal TERN teams and external stakeholders to identify key messages and research assets for impactful science communication campaigns.
- Continuously assess TERN's communication and outreach activities, providing reports to governance bodies.
About YouYou'll be an experienced science communicator with a relevant degree (in environmental science, science communication) with interdisciplinary experience in environmental science and management.
- Tertiary qualification in environmental science, science communication or other relevant fields with an understanding of environmental science and/or management.
- Experienced in interdisciplinary researcher interactions, adept at working both independently and as a productive team member.
- Skilled in effective communication, with a focus on science communication in academic settings, enabling engagement with diverse groups of researchers from various scientific and cultural backgrounds.
- Awareness of a wide variety of open-source technologies and cloud services for application in communicating complex science messages.
- Demonstrable ability to negotiate effectively with senior personnel from government and/or industry sectors.

What We Can OfferThis is a full-time, fixed term position until June 2028 at HEW 8. The full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $108,975 - $122,176 plus super of up to 17%.
