Form of workVenture North specialise in taking guests into rarely visited locations across the Top End. They operate an exclusive safari-style Coastal Camp on the Cobourg Peninsula, north-western Arnhem Land and offer twice-weekly departures. They offer a highly personalised service with a 1 guide to 6 passenger ratio; all tours take place in luxury Landcruiser vehicles. Major focuses of Venture North tours are Aboriginal culture and nature.
Venture North is currently looking for experienced guides for the 2024 season and beyond. Guides primarily will be required to operate Venture North’s feature 5 day tour which takes in some highlights of Kakadu before journeying into Arnhem Land and up to Venture North’s camp.
The applicant must be able to work in remote locations unsupervised, have a passion for the environment, strong Indigenous knowledge, enjoy outdoor living and excel in conversing with people from all walks of life.
The successful applicant must be able to deliver an exceptional visitor experience week in, week out. Kakadu/NT experience is preferred.
The applicant must have or be able to obtain:
- An ‘H' endorsement license
- Kakadu Knowledge for Tour Guides Certification
- Current Senior First Aid
