Form of workOK so maybe we are biased but we think getting paid to travel to some of the best locations in Queensland and maybe even the world is a pretty good job. This job is not for everyone to be sure:
- you must have experience as a tour operator or guide, preference to Savannah & Wet Tropic's guides
- be a people person and passionate about showing our country to domestic and international guests
- have a good general knowledge of Australia and interest in Wetlands, North Qld and Cape York, its history and culture
- have good organization skills
- be an excellent communicator (and sometimes negotiator)
- be able to cope with physical demands of the job
- hold a Qld Transport Driver authority
- driving off road 4WD vehicle
- towing off road trailers
- small groups only - no bus
In return you will get to leave the office behind, travel North Queensland in well maintained vehicles purpose built for the North, meet interesting people, work with some of the most experienced guides in the industry and make lifelong friends and connections along the way.
