Role Profile:
This is a part time position of Payroll & Officer and sits within the HR team, reporting to the HR Manager - ANZ.
Holding payroll responsibility for our two NZ businesses which payroll both fortnightly and monthly. We use ADP Payforce.
Working 2 Days per week - Monday & Tuesday, due to payroll timing. You will take full ownership of the smooth running of the New Zealand payroll of 43 employees. You will also be responsible for HR administrative tasks and projects for NZ. Loscam as a Working From Home Policy of 1 day per week, after training & probation.
This role will also partner and provide back up during Annual Leave, for the Senior Payroll & HR Officer (up to 4 Days per week during coverage). Your partner holds ownership of the Australian payroll of approximately 230 employees.

Your Profile
You will be a highly motivated and experienced (7+yrs) Payroll professional who is able to provide efficient payroll in an end to end environment. You will be customer focused and have exceptional interpersonal and organisational skills to deal with various payroll queries. You will be commercially savvy, have a strong work ethic and demonstrate an ability to multi task and meet deadlines. ADP experience is advantageous, as is experience in NZ payroll.
Duties & Responsibilities including:
- Process fortnightly and monthly New Zealand payrolls including termination calculations, adhoc tasks and end of period processes for NZ
- Key responsibility for the NZ payroll requirements and provide back up during leave for Australian payroll
- Co-ordinating payroll activities between ADP & NZ Inland Revenue
- Supporting the Accident Claims Management reconciliation and lodgment
- Other payroll duties
Support HR / Payroll activities such as:
- Annual performance reviews
- Annual salary reviews
- Annual Budget Process
- Payroll & HR administration duties
- Manage payroll & HR related staff queries and action replies accordingly
- Participate in HR project work to deliver new initiatives to the business
The successful candidate will possess:
- Proven experience in end to end payroll is essential
- Prior experience using ADP is advantageous
- Experience in an HR support role is advantageous
- Strong understanding of Payroll obligations and relevant legislation
- NZ Payroll experience advantageous, though support will be provided if experience is not NZ specific
- A high level of attention to detail
