About the role
Reporting to the Asset Maintenance Coordinator, you will be responsible for the allocation and deployment of resources including personnel, vehicles, equipment and inventory to deliver safe, cost effective and timely Track Maintenance.
In this role you will:
- Ensure road patrols and other tack monitoring activities are conducted
- Provide effective and efficient management of the workgroup's resources and activities
- Manage training, development, performance and succession planning of staff
- Prepare and coordinate daily, weekly and monthly work programmes
- Manage allocated inventory, plant, equipment, motor vehicles, buildings, depots and camps in accordance with policies, standards and regulations
About you:
- Knowledge of track construction, maintenance and inspection standards as well as skills in prioritising, planning, programming and resource management of Track Maintenance activities
- Strong leadership, communication, people management and negotiation skills and skills in the management of assets allocated to the position
- Level of knowledge in supporting management systems, budget monitoring and cost capture/control techniques
- 'C' class drivers licence
