The Opportunity

We are seeking experienced Crane Operators/Trade Assistant to join the maintenance crew at Pembroke Resource’s new autonomous mine in the Bowen Basin - the Olive Downs Complex. 

Pembroke Resource’s Olive Downs Complex is a greenfield project located 40 kilometres South-East of Moranbah which commenced mining operations mid-2023. Thiess has recently been awarded a five-year contract to deliver full-service mining operations, including mine planning overburden removal, drill and blast, load and haul (autonomous), water management and rehabilitation as well as the construction of the mine infrastructure.

About The Role

As a Crane Operator/Trade Assistant, you will be responsible for the safe operation of crane onsite. When not using the crane, this position will assist in all facets of maintenance and warehousing onsite. 

About you

Experience in conducting crane operations and hold/or be able to obtain the following competencies:

• C6 Crane ticket
• Intermediate Rigger ticket
• Dogman ticket 
• Non-Slew Crane ticket
• High Risk forklift ticket
• Overhead crane ticket
• Current Standard 11
• Current HR Drivers Licence is preferred but not essential
• Elevated work platform and/or trainer and assessor certificate would be highly regarded
