Over 135,000 South Australians rely on Foodbank SA & NT services every month, with one third of them being children. As South Australia’s largest food relief agency, Foodbank supplies food to more than 684 welfare agencies and community groups, along with 550 school programs across Adelaide’s metro, regional and country areas.
To support its mission and its commitment to remain the Employer of Choice, Foodbank is seeking a skilled Human Resources Manager to join its senior leadership team in Adelaide.
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, you will play a crucial role in establishing and implementing Foodbank SA & NT’s HR strategies and ensuring its alignment with organisational values and operational activities. This newly created position will be responsible for the development of HR policies and procedures to maximise the performance of the staff and volunteers, providing guidance to the CEO, senior managers and managers on people and culture issues. Your strategic leadership will drive the HR function to achieve its goals and support the workforce in meeting the changing needs of the sector.
To be successful in this position, you must have at least five (5) years of demonstrated experience in a similar role. You must have excellent organisational and leadership skills, along with demonstrated experience in hands-on implementation of strategic HR plans. Strong employee engagement experience, cultural alignment with their values and exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills along with tertiary qualification in Human Resource Management or related areas are crucial in this role.
