Position Overview:
We are looking for a Trades and Administration Assistant to support our Port Pirie Workshop Personnel and the Workshop Manager in job preparation, workshop maintenance, and Administration tasks.
Key responsibilities:
Assist Tradespersons with a full range of workshop functions to support Tradespeople in Metal Fabrication, Bodyworks, Light Vehicle and Heavy Diesel Mechanics
Assist with preparing jobs for Tradespeople as required (ie. Washing trucks, tidying of wash bays, general housekeeping and maintenance of safety standards)
Ensure all work and cleaning is carried out of high standard, correct and complete to the required standard
With supervision, operate plant and equipment at all times within established Company policy
Undertake relevant training on the job as identified by your Team Leader or Supervisor
Ensure that all paperwork is correctly filled out as required
Responsible for assisting with database management, new systems, information management tools and streamlined reporting and analysis for Divisional operations.
Maintaining invoicing and timesheet, works progress administration information on a day-to-day basis.
Qualifications:
Pre-vocational mechanical certificates (advantageous)
Current driver's license
Forklift License
Communication skills
Ability to work as part of a team
Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
Relevant computer skills, including database management
Positive attitude towards customer service
Self-motivation, flexibility, and commitment to deadlines
Willingness to undertake on-the-job training and development.
