We are currently looking to engage a mechanically minded TA to join our Fire Suppression team in Rouse Hill NSW. The successful candidate will be required to assist in the execution of Thermal Blanket Fitting, Machine Measuring, Scanning, Emissions Testing and installation of Fire Suppression kits on mobile plant equipment. This is a highly autonomous role and will require travel interstate and to remote sites.

The role:
- Working with a qualified Field Technician for the installation & maintenance of fire suppression systems and fire extinguishers to heavy plant & equipment.
- Assist in planning efficient mechanical fitting onsite, including identification and selection of the correct tools for the task, and required materials for the system being installed.
- Preparation of materials and systems in the company workshop ahead of site visit.
- Familiarity in facilitating inductions and communications with site personnel to arrange required site access.
- Remove or seal off old insulation whilst complying with safety protocols.
- Install thermal blankets (or lagging) onto engine exhaust systems of heavy, earth moving and/or industrial equipment.
- Installation of Fire Suppression kits on machinery as per guidelines.
- Fit insulation in accordance with installation drawings and procedures.
- Liaise with customer representatives at point of operation to ensure effective delivery of product.

- Mechanical aptitude
- Previous exposure to general fitting and or maintenance fitting
- Current Working at Heights
- Current Confined Spaces
- C Class Drivers License - Manual
- Current White Card
- Ability to work safely with general hand tools and equipment.
- Ability to identify issues and make decisions for the best benefit of the company when working alone or in remote areas.
- Be capable of working within a team orientated environment.
- Be customer focused and maintain high level of professionalism.
