Australian Weighing Equipment is currently looking for a full-time Trades Assistant to support our experienced Service Technicians with a view of career progression as a Field Service Technician.
We are seeking a mature and enthusiastic individual with the ability to work in a Team environment. You will be expected to attend site with a Service Technician to assist with service calls for Installations, repairs and maintenance and calibrations. You will work alongside the Service Technician where they will diagnose and implement solutions to technical problems associated to weighing equipment.
RemunerationRemuneration indicated is a range an is dependent on skill-set, technical aptitude and experience.
Responsibilities
Working alongside an experienced Technician, you are required to:
- Ensure that service standards and objectives are being achieved.
- Usage of equipment and hand power tools
- General maintenance of work environment
- Manual handling / laboring
- Assist with performing duties of repairing, calibrating, and servicing weighing equipment
- Installation of weighbridges
- Provide support to Service Tech when troubleshooting and testing of mechanical and digital scales
- Provide assistance in documenting test results and provide complete paperwork
- Provide assistance with programming of equipment (calibration)
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organised work environment at all times
- Maintain service vehicles, equipment, tools, and PPE
- Complete-time records, work orders, and logs each day
- Create a positive and respectful work environment
- Must be reliable with a strong work ethic
- Must have a current drivers license
- Must be computer literate
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Willingness and ability to continuously learn
- Prompt, pleasant, positive attitude and follows instructions well
- Ability to work well with others in a team environment
