In this role, you will be working for our Infrastructure Services business which forms part of the CV group.
The team specialises in electrical infrastructure works and provides a comprehensive range of design, supply, and construction services. Our projects include major road and rail infrastructure, commercial and industrial projects, urban developments and subdivisions, and airports and airfields.
We have over 110 team members with a proven track record of successfully delivering projects for our wide range of clients.
About the Opportunity
As an experienced Traffic Signal electrician specializing in civil infrastructure projects, you're motivated by the prospect of a satisfying, long-lasting career in electrical work. You find fulfillment in successfully completing projects in the diverse landscape of Southeast Queensland (SEQ).
In this role, working closely with the Project team is essential. Together, you aim to meet project deadlines and financial goals to satisfy stakeholders. Your input brings energy and expertise to the team, along with new perspectives, innovative ideas, and a dedication to continuous improvement. Your understanding of construction schedules and project safety, combined with effective risk management, ensures that strict quality standards and specifications are met across our busy range of projects.
You will be responsible for:
- Utilising technical knowledge, skills and capabilities to interpret specifications, drawing and manuals.
- Undertaking problem solving and job specific reporting in accordance with requirements.
- Committing to all facets of on the job compliance including code and OH&S.
- Demonstrating the ability to think laterally and plan jobs ensuring all equipment and resources are available.
- Effectively communicating with clients, suppliers and team members.
About You

- 3+ years’ experience working with signals , understanding of both BCC & TMR specifications
- Ability to work both normal working hours and sporadically night shifts, when required.
- Experience in ITS Technology /Operations
- Experience building, fault finding, and commissioning Traffic Signals
- Preference for any experience/understanding switching Low Voltage networks
- Preference for any experience working on TMR Rate 3
- Current unrestricted QLD Electrical Workers Licence
- Current manual drivers’ licence (manual preferable)
- Reliable, hardworking, and conscientious
- Unwavering commitment to code compliance and WHS requirements
- Excellent communicator who is comfortable working autonomously within a team
