About the role: Network Controllers are responsible for operating our world-class Train Control systems to deliver safe and efficient train operations, as well as facilitating maintenance on our Network. They are responsible for managing, monitoring, and reporting on train operating performance, as well as responding to unplanned events that happen on the Network.
Our Trainee Network Controllers undertake an 8-month Traineeship and receive a nationally accredited certification. Aurizon will provide you with a combination of classroom, and on the job training with experienced Network Controllers, Network Coordinators and Superintendents.
We are looking for people who can work shift work across a 24-hour x 7 day a week roster, once qualified.
Key attributes of a high-performing Network Controller include sustained focus, attention to detail and the ability to problem-solve in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The ability to work both individually and as part of the broader Network Control team, with the overall goal of contributing to our safety and team culture, is integral.
