Your new company Hays has partnered with a Council in Northern Sydney to find a Trainee Parking Officer to join their Compliance Team on a casual, ongoing basis. Located in Sydney's North, this Local Government Area administers Sydney's second-largest CBD and popular tourist attractions. This Local Government Area has a strong focus on customer service and delivering the best outcomes for their local community. Your new role In this role you will learn the skills to become a Parking Officer. Being trained by an experienced team of officers, you will:
Patrol the LGA on foot and in a vehicle, including school zones and event parking.
Issue parking infringements.
Educate the public on local laws.
Responding to parking complaints from the public.
What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this role, you will need a background in either front line retail sales or hospitality. We are looking for a driven, customer-centric individual who wants the best outcome for their community. The essential skills required are:
Strong verbal and written communication.
Strong dispute resolution skills.
The ability to work well in a team.
Full, current NSW Driving Licence
Fully vaccinated against COVID-19
What you'll get in return If you are successful in this role, you will receive training from an experienced parking team. This role is 38 hours/week, Monday to Friday and you will earn $35/hr + super.
