This is a role for a person who is prepared to learn and progress to be a valued member of our team.
Our company is looking for a trainee to join our team, starting off working in the laboratory learning and conducting our suite of soils testing. After this initial training period going on to work as an independent Field Technician conducting both Civil testing and Soil testing duties as required.
The Role includes, but not limited to:
- Gather site/field data
- Gather and carry out soil sample preparation and analysis
- Laboratory work with soil samples
- Support with screw pier installation and manufacturing, as required
- Travelling to various job sites is required
- Drilling on site using a rear mounted Drilling rig
Selection criteria:
- Driver’s Licence – must be able to drive manual
- Good English communication skills
- Computer literate
- Self-starter and self-motivated
- Hands on – ability to solve problems when on site
- Strong attention to detail, you want to get it right
- Ability to work autonomously
- Demonstrated achievement in any field or role
- Mechanically minded and enjoy working outside
Desirable:
- White Card
- Experience in a Soil Laboratory
- Knowledge of AS1289, AS2870, & AS1141
