About the Role
Work Health and Safety Trainee will provide support to Safety and Quality team and contribute day to day support across the organisation to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of service of Work Health and Safety (WHS) to our internal and external customers.
Duties
Under the direction of the nominated supervisor: assists to maintain the integrity of ATSICHS Brisbane’s safety management system documents. and provide administrative support the Safety and Quality team to undertake effective Safety Management practices.
Works collaboratively with the Safety and Quality team to provide WHS support across the organisation through use of the WHS and Quality systems and processes.
Support a high-performance team culture, and work collaboratively with other teams to deliver high-quality service.
Commits to and actively participates in the formal training process as outlined in Training Plan.

Essential:
There is a genuine requirement that this position be filled by an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person in accordance with s25 of the Anti-discrimination Act 1991 (Qld).
- Ability and commitment to complete a relevant Certificate III within the terms of the traineeship, (including theory and practical work modules and attendance at required training sessions).
- Experience in general office administration or the ability to quickly acquire knowledge of office practices and procedures.
- Ability to provide and maintain effective and quality customer service.
- An ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment, and to contribute to the achievement of team goals.
- Basic data entry and word processing skills, including the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher, PowerPoint), and
- Current unrestricted manual “c” class drivers’ licence
Desirable:
- Year 12 standard of education.
