Westurn Engineering is a long-established company based in Mandurah, who provide CNC machining services to the local area and interstate. We are a small, tight-knit team with long-standing employees and a great workplace culture. We are currently looking to hire a Trainee Mechanical Draftsperson. The role is located in the Mandurah area (our new workshop is in the new Peel Business Park in Stake Hill) and will include TAFE attendance towards a Diploma of Engineering (Technical).

We also offer drafting as a client service, and the ideal candidate will be trained up to assist with these duties, including liaising with clients and potentially local site visits as required, on top of day-to-day production drafting tasks.
Through this role, you will become experienced in mechanical drafting and machine component design, as well as 3D scanning and reverse engineering. You will be exposed to CNC machining, sheet metal design, fabrication & welding, materials & metallurgy, 3D scanning, engineering standards, metrology, and much more.
