Our electronics engineering client requires a Junior Engineer to join their team.
THE ROLE:
- Detailed drafting including solid modelling of enclosures, front panels and other mechanical and electronic parts of company equipment
- Approval of client drawings
- Manufacturing design drawings, block diagrams, drafting of new system designs
- Detailed drawings for onsite installation of equipment
- Oversee the assemblies of kits ensuring accuracy of Technical Drawings / Documentation
- Ensure BOM routing accuracy for core data of product assemblies
- Management of all supporting documentation for manufactured products
- Oversite and deployment of efficiency outcomes for lean manufacturing principles aligned with Industry 4.0
- Produce relevant Technical Manufacturing drawings to industry standards
- Produce product assembly drawings
- Parasolid modelling of new parts in Inventor
- Management of CAD Design file repository with SVN
- Utilise the company's ERP system
TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
- Degree in engineering - Mechanical or Electronic
- Minimum 1 year's experience in a similar position
- Ability to present samples of drawings/diagrams
- Experience creating part numbers and kits
- Experience with laser etching
- Confident using AutoCad and Inventor programs
- Willingness to learn and be mentored
- Flexible and can do attitude
Regular Responsibilities
- Detailed drafting which includes solid modelling of enclosures, front panels, and other mechanical and electronic parts of our equipment.
- Approval drawings for sales/clients
- Detailed drawings for onsite installation of equipment including electrical wiring
- Production of front panel artworks for laser etching
- Modification of existing designs to suit client requirements
- Design and preparation of general assembly drawings for the manufacturing process
- Preparing block diagrams and drafting of new system designs for the Sales Department
- Creation of part numbers and kits
- Good understanding of IS9001 Requirements
- Ability to liaise and collaborate with team members and managers
- Ability to multi task and work with competing priorities
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
