AddressWe are currently seeking to recruit a Human Resources Trainee to join a global leader in the Freight Forwarding and Logistics industry while completing a Certificate III in International Freight Forwarding.
The Position
Reporting to the Human Resources Manager you will be given formal and "on the job" training to develop your skills allowing you to support the team by, you will also be enrolled in a formal traineeship studying a Certificate III in International Freight Forwarding.
Day to day execution of HR support such as:
- Talent Coordinator.
- Recruitment process.
- Facilitation of the appraisal process.
- Maintaining personnel files, keep them up to date according to corporate guidelines and local legislation.
- Completing your Academic studies toward a Certificate III in International Freight Forwarding.
- TMS / Time sheet management of COO direct report.
- Roll out implementation of any HR projects or initiatives.
- Approval of timesheets and leave requests for direct reports of reporting managers.
- Draft Reports for compilation and submission.
- Support with Audits for BE and HR.
- Creation and updating of reports, presentations, and briefs within their scope of responsibility.
- Coordination and preparation of events, presentations, and external meetings with multiple stakeholders within scope.
- Back-up to all EA to MD tasks and responsibilities.
- Maintenance of general correspondence as required as well as data processing confidential material.
- Operational analysis & reporting.
- Facilitating and reporting of operational debtors’ management.
- Travel system administrator for entire business AU & NZ (back-up).
- Other reasonable duties as required.
The Requirements
The successful candidate will have:
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Diploma in Business or Human Resources minimum
- Be an Australian Citizen/Permanent Resident
- Desire to pursue a long term career in Human Resources
- Previous experience in Human Resources is an advantage
- Positive and dedicated attitude with the ability to work independently
- Professional and committed disposition
- Word, Excel and PowerPoint knowledge
- Time management skills
- Multi-tasking with multiple deadlines and projects
- Social abilities – able to accept responsibility, respect others, honesty
- Able to work in a team environment
- Drivers License Essential
