Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the delivery and assessment of competency-based training programs in accordance with the Training and Assessment Strategy (TAS).
- Facilitate engaging and relevant training sessions to help learners achieve their goals.
- Ensure all training resources are current and compliant.
- Support the development and review of training and assessment materials.
- Develop and implement individualized training plans based on learners' needs.
- Manage risk in accordance with workplace health and safety guidelines.
- Conduct and document training delivery and assessment procedures.
- Maintain accurate training records and submit assessment results to the appropriate manager.
- Participate in internal and external audits as required.
- Maintain vocational and industry currency.
- Assist with general program-related duties.
- Industry currency in relevant areas such as mustering, livestock husbandry, animal welfare, tractor operation, fencing, and environmental practices.
- Experience in mustering and carrying out routine livestock husbandry procedures;
- Knowledge of animal welfare requirements;
- Knowledge of regionally significant animal health issues and experience in implementing animal health control programs in livestock;
- Experience in operating two-wheel motorbikes under variable environmental conditions;
- Experience in operating tractors;
- Skills in constructing and maintaining rural fencing;
- Knowledge of work health and safety, animal welfare and biosecurity legislation and codes of practice;
- Knowledge of environmentally sustainable work practices
- Proficient in the use of TASS, desired but not essential;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) will be desirable (Willing to support the incumbent to obtain this qualification)
- Certificate III in Agriculture or Rural Operations (or related industry relevant qualification)
- Current First Aid and CPR Accreditation
- Qualified in the Units of competency being delivered, or equivalent;
- Agricultural Chemicals Distribution Control (ACDC) Licence;
- Working with Children Check (Blue Card);
- Police Check.
