We are seeking passionate Trainers to deliver fun and engaging Cert II in Skills for Work and Vocational Pathways courses that provide disengaged youth with skills to gain employment in Gympie.
Full Time Contract through to 20/09/2024, Monday to Friday 8am - 4pm
The Position
You will be responsible for delivering engaging training and incorporating adventure based learning to students between the ages of 15 - 19 focusing on employment skills.
Your responsibilities will include
- Deliver the Cert II in Skills for Work and Vocational Pathways across 11 weeks
- Deliver practical skills including time management, how to build self-esteem and confidence and job readiness skills including how to interview and present themselves to employers
- Engage and support students throughout their learning journey, offering flexible learning methods
- Assist with the development, design and implementation of the training program and associated activities to meet client and community needs
- Participate in agreed community and/or cultural activities, functions and meetings
- Provide flexible learning delivery, adapting resources and delivery methods to meet the needs and goals of clients
The Successful Applicant
To be considered for this opportunity you must meet the following criteria:
- Hold a current Certificate IV in Training & Assessment - TAE40116 or Higher
- Hold the TAESS00009 Address Foundational Skills in Vocational Practice Skillset or equivalent
- Demonstrated experience delivering training to a youth audience
- Have an understanding of the issues facing unemployed youth as well as an understanding of employer and workplace expectations
- Hold a current Driver Licence, 2 x COVID19 Vaccinations and have the ability to obtain a National Police Clearance and Working with Children's card
