Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Carpentry Trainer and Assessor to join our team in Melbourne. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering comprehensive training programs, assessing student competency, and providing guidance and support to ensure learners reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging training sessions and workshops covering a range of carpentry techniques and principles.
- Assess student performance and competency through practical demonstrations, written assessments, and observations.
- Provide constructive feedback and support to students to help them achieve their learning objectives.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and update course materials, ensuring they align with industry standards and regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, assessments, and attendance.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, tools, and techniques to enhance the quality of training delivery.
- Foster a positive learning environment that promotes teamwork, respect, and professionalism.
- Certificate III in Carpentry or higher qualification in a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of practical experience working as a carpenter.
- Previous experience in vocational education and training (VET) sector preferred.
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or willingness to obtain.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit diverse learning styles.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
