Training And Capability Officer

The Role

The Training and Capability Officer will work collaboratively with the People & Safety team and each area of the organisation to develop and coordinate consistent and quality training to Council’s workforce ensuring an appropriately skilled workforce and enabling a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

This role will develop competency profiles, develop and maintain training needs analysis and ensure training practices are consistently applied across the organisation. The Training and Capability Officer will provide trusted advice and support to managers and team members and ensures Council’s workforce are appropriately skilled and have been provided with appropriate and relevant training.

About You

You will have a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and/or significant experience in a similar role and demonstrated experience in the use of Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS). You have a track record of training needs analysis, reporting, learning & development plans and the delivery of face-to-face training. Additionally, you will have highly developed communication skills including a the ability to consult, liaise, influence and provide education.
