PURPOSEThe Training Coordinator plays a pivotal role in elevating the professional development and operational excellence of the Adelaide Airport team. This position is responsible for overseeing and executing comprehensive training programs, ensuring compliance, addressing performance gaps, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth among the internal staff across Ramp and Fleet Presentation operations.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Compliance Management:
  • Manage compliance across Ramp Service and Fleet Presentation ensuring that all Airline, Airport and Oceania Aviation Services Standard Operating Procedures are adhered to by all staff.
  • Ensure all staff on duty are compliant and up to date with all Read and Signs, Company updates and memos.
  • Training Program Development:
  • Identify training needs through collaboration with stakeholders, performance assessments, and feedback mechanisms.
  • Assist the Oceania Training Department with training material design including presentations, handouts, and multimedia content.
  • Training Facilitation:
  • Conduct engaging and interactive training sessions using a variety of training materials including presentations, handouts, and multimedia content.
  • Adapt training methods to accommodate different learning styles and participant needs.
  • Subject Matter Expertise:
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the subject matter being taught, staying updated on manual and training material revisions.
  • Effectively convey complex concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Assessment and Evaluation:
  • Complete theory and practical assessments to measure participants' understanding and retention of training content.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make adjustments for continuous improvement.
  • Individual and Group Coaching:
  • Provide one-on-one coaching or mentoring support to individuals who require additional assistance.
  • Foster a collaborative and supportive learning environment for group participants.
  • Technology Integration:
  • Utilise technology and e-learning platforms to enhance training delivery, accessibility, and completion rates.
  • Documentation:
  • Maintain accurate records of training attendance, participant progress, and assessment results.
  • Generate reports and summaries to track training program success.
  • Collaboration:
  • Work closely with subject matter experts, department managers, and other stakeholders to ensure training aligns with organisational goals.
  • Collaborate with other trainers and professionals to share best practices and enhance training quality.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
  • Minimum 12-month experience in a similar role in the aviation industry.
  • Trained on Ramp functions up to and including Leading Hand and Aircraft Pushback.
  • A thorough understanding of Airport Regulations and Airline Procedures and policies.
  • Proven experience in training, compliance management, and instructional design.
  • Customer Service Experience would be advantageous.
  • Certification in Training and Assessment are advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of learning methodologies and adult learning principles.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
  • Proficiency in utilising various training tools and e-learning platforms.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to evaluate problems, examine information and document facts.
  • Ability to remain calm, diplomatic, and focused during stressful situations.
  • Competent in articulating information, making decisions, and influencing.
  • Strong sense of confidentiality and ethical behaviour and represent the Company in a positive light.
  • Able to meet deadlines, managing tasks and upholding standards.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in an ever-changing environment, with a willing and positive attitude.
