Our team is growing and we are currently seeking committed, and high performing placemakers to join us in the part of the Training & Capability team as a Fixed TermTraining Officer. at our Melbourne Airport. The position is full time, permanent role.
The Training Officer will play an essential role in the facilitation of internal staff training at Melbourne Airport. This will include working with team to ensure that training is up-to-date, effective, and in line with legislative requirements.
This position is a full-time, salaried role with operational working hours allowing for 7 day coverage. The position will commence in April 2023 with an expected finish in late August
Essential Criteria: Candidates applying for this position must have the following:
- Ability to obtain an ASIC (currently hold an ASIC)
- Valid and current TAE qualification – In line with RTO requirements
- Hold a current Transport Protection Certificate II
- A demonstrated understanding of aviation security legislation ATSR 2005/ATSA2004
- Experience in compliance and legislative framework around airport security (or equivalent
- Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
- High personal integrity, organised – outcome and deadline orientated
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft suite, databases & dashboards
The ideal candidate will also be self-motivated and display personal behaviors and traits consistent with this role which include; resilience, a calming presence, problem-solving ability; and the ability to understand and work efficiently with the broader ISS team while effectively managing and engaging stakeholders.
Key Tasking:
- Deliver training material from the Training & Capability team to achieve KPIs, projects, initiatives and set goals
- Collaboration of development & delivery of training packs
- Conduct internal compliance audits and report findings
- Collaborate with the Operations team to ensure minimal impacts between departments during operational periods
