About the Role
The Admissions Officer will work closely with the Manager Student Services to provide efficient, compliant and friendly administrative support and advise to Baxter students, agents and staff in relation to the Admissions and Enrolment for VET programs.
Some of the main duties include:
- Assessment of all admissions in line with VET guidelines
- Processing enrolment and enrolment variations such as leave approvals, extensions, withdrawals, release, change of program/location/strand, etc.
- Monitoring CoE and Visa validity
- Processing and Managing OSHC or related issues
- Preparing letters of offer, SVP assessment and CoEs in line with the set standards and process
- Managing Credit Applications
- Ensuring all admission compliances are met
- Provide accurate and consistent record keeping and maintain student, course enrolment and education agent details within PRISMS and the Institute’s student management system and comply with Institute policy and procedures and external quality assurance requirements
- Liaising with agents, students and staff regarding admission and enrolment related queries
- Assisting with orientation and enrolment
Selection Criteria
- Previous experience in international admissions within VET Education
- A relevant qualification, combined with previous administrative experience
- Experience or demonstrated commitment to applying policies, procedures and legislation
- Ability to effectively analyse and solve problems
- Excellent oral and written communication skills paired with strong interpersonal skills
- Proficient computer literacy in Microsoft Office, with highly accurate keyboard skills
- Proficient skills in using PRISMS
- Proven ability to organise work activities according to priorities and to meet deadlines
- Demonstrated experience working effectively within a team and independently
