AddressSundstrom Recruitment has been engaged exclusively to assist a long established mining contractor with the appointment of a Training Principal. The role will lead the businesses training function as it grows to a diversified contractor of significance.

Reporting to the GM HSEQT, you will be leading a team of site and corporate based trainers. You will play a pivotal role in the designing and development of the companies training department.
As a member of management, you will provide leadership to the organisation and have a key role in supporting company’s strategic plan, Additionally, you will have the opportunity to use your breadth of knowledge to mentor future training professionals. You will also have the benefit of:

What you will be doing:
- Lead Trainers and other HSEQT team members in fostering a culture that supports the organisation’s vision, strategic plan, goals, and values.
- Ensure that organisational values shape the behaviours and actions of the workforce.
- Engage positively with staff and exemplify the company’s values and behaviours during office and site visits.
- Drive alignment among the workforce, defining roles and responsibilities, and managing performance standards to meet the company’s strategic objectives.
- Ensure Trainers and other HSEQT team members receive necessary training and accreditation to fulfil their roles effectively.
How you will excel:
You will be a hands-on senior leader that is a performer, not theorist.
- You will have qualifications in training and development.
- Minimum of 5-10 year’s of experience in a training role with exposure to the mining industry.
- Ability to communicate effectively and liaise with clients, RTO’s and the executive team;
- Proven experience with management of an LMS
- Thrive in a leadership team while being approachable at site level.
- Demonstrable experience in leading teams and overseeing training across multiple projects
