About the Role
The Training Specialist is responsible for using selected tools to assess clinical competence of Registered Nurses (RNs) Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Personal Care Assistants (PCAs), and then delivering targeted development and support that builds skill and capability.
The role is dedicated to quickly and effectively driving performance improvement so that our residents receive superior care and service.
The role is also pivotal to identifying and supporting an adequate pipeline of ‘job ready’ talented clinicians who can be temporarily or permanently relocated to fill key roles across our organisation.
About you
Technical
Outstanding ability to enhance the skills of others and with a strong disposition to coaching
Excellent inter-personal, facilitation and written communication skills
Proven organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and training programs
High degree of attention to detail
Familiar with Learning Management Systems
Experienced in the use of Webex or other virtual mediums to deliver remote learning
Highly proficient with Microsoft applications including: Excel, Word, Outlook and Powerpoint
Strong understanding of the Aged Care Accreditation Standards
Very capable and efficient user of Autumn Care (preferred)
Supports a quality assurance approach
Personal
Able to work autonomously, but works to established priorities and within set frameworks
Pragmatic and flexible mindset
Results oriented and customer-focused
Demonstrated ability to build relationships and collaborate to achieve agreed outcomes
Excellent personal presentation and grooming
