The Position
To provide a leadership role in the area of Transport Engineering within the city of Albury, including investigation, analysis, modelling, policy development, and project management The position will assist with the development and implementation of strategic plans and infrastructure projects relating to transport and city growth and requires regular interaction with internal and
external stakeholders to achieve the expected outcomes.

Qualifications & experience
- Degree in Civil Engineering or other relevant field
- A minimum 3 years working in the transport industry or local government sector
- Class C (Standard) Driver's License (Compulsory to have and to maintain)
- Demonstrated experience in Transport Engineering, civil engineering, project management, urban design or similar field.
- Supervise and lead an effective team capable of delivering up to date transport modelling and analysis, and Transport Engineering solutions
- Provide effective staff management, including recruitment, performance management and employee development,
employee motivation and fostering of team harmony - Assess, manage and mitigate the transport impact of future developments and urban renewal projects to improve
residential amenities and ensure accessibility and safety - Act as the custodian of the City’s strategic and operational traffic models to identify hierarchical and recommend network upgrades that respond to the future needs of the community
- Develop and implement transport infrastructure action plans identified in relevant council strategies including but not limited to the CBD Parking Strategy 2020-2025 and MOVE: The Albury Wodonga Integrated Transport Strategy
Hours
Based on a 35 hour week, with actual days and times being Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5pm, with an RDO in accordance with AlburyCity's RDO guidelines.
