AirMed is a private aeromedical patient transport company, contracted by NSW Health to provide non-urgent patient transport to stable patients in fixed wing aircraft throughout NSW.
We are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Wagga Wagga base as a casual ground TRANSPORT NURSE.
This role requires you to collect or deliver patients from the airport or hospital to connect with our flight crews. These patients will have been assessed as stable for transport. You will be required to liaise with drivers, hospitals and flight nurses. There may be longer distance transport required to surrounding hospitals and airports.
Experience in transport nursing is desirable, however not essential as we will provide support and training. Position would suit a recently retired nurse or a nurse transitioning into retirement.
You will need:
- A minimum of 3 years post graduate experience
- Current registration with AHPRA
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Have, or be willing to obtain, National Police Check, Working with Children Check and assessment, screening and immunisation schedule for category A Healthcare workers.
