In this role, you'll:
- Work as part of a team delivering a welcoming and approachable manner whilst embracing the diversity NSW has to offer
- Utilise your Compliance and regulation understanding

- Understand that conditions apply when travelling on public transport, and that they are required to educate customers and issue fines and cautions when these conditions are not being adhered
- Transport Officers operate across all modes of transport including Sydney Trains, NSW TrainLink, Buses, Light Rail, Ferries and Sydney Metro
- Work closely with customers on network promoting fare compliance and educating customers from all walks of life on travel conditions.

We have opportunities to start in October 2024
Your base location will be Redfern while we provide you with all the necessary training to see you succeed. Following this, you may request to join a team which starts and finishes on the network at a location which is closer to home. This is subject to business requirements.

About you:

The role requires you every day to move around our network and interact with our customers and other transport teams, including station staff and various transport stakeholders with a smile and great attitude.
Transport Officers operate across all modes of transport, promoting fare compliance and educating customers from all walks of life on travel conditions. To do this, you as a Transport Officer
You must be a skilled communicator, and display empathy and resilience, while never losing focus in order to provide each and every customer with a safe and pleasant travel experience.
You will enjoy an exciting role where no two days are the same.
You enjoy working in small teams and being out and about on all modes of the public transport network all day, every day, rain, hail or shine. The role offers great work/life balance across morning and afternoon shifts where this will be provided in advance to really give you time to make plans outside of work!
