In this role, you'll:

You will provide assistance and support in the management of the Light Rail Contract from an operational perspective and contribute to the overall customer experience. You will also play a key role in the ongoing contract management and governance of the services, for the provision of transport services that form part of an integrated, safe, reliable, customer-focused, and efficient service that meets the needs of stakeholders.

Key accountabilities of the role include:

• Assist in leading the day-to-day administration and management of service contracts
• Develop and maintain strong, collaborative working relationships with transport service providers, other areas within TfNSW, and other key stakeholders to drive better customer outcomes and improved performance
• Develop and maintain records and update contracts and contract documentation
• Develop and draft advice, responses and appropriate correspondence

Great opportunity for a Senior Contracts Officer to join the Light Rail Contracts team on a permanent full-time basis. Hybrid role - based out of  the Parramatta & Sydney CBD office 2/3 days a week.

About you

Our ideal candidate is an experienced contracts professional, with experience in service delivery contracts, and an understanding of commercial and contract law or Public Sector statutory requirements. With highly developed written and verbal communication as well as problem-solving skills, you will be collaborative in your approach and build rapport easily. It is essential that you have an understanding of how to resolve issues that arise in managing contractor performance in order to deliver solutions that will allow effective business management while complying with contract management standards.

You will also have :
• Relevant qualifications or equivalent industry experience in contract managment
• A current NSW Driver’s licence and a willingness travel throughout the region occasionally
• Proven knowledge and experience in contract management and governance, preferably in a transport environment.
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of commercial and contract law, and public sector statutory requirements.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced contracts professional to step into a rewarding and challenging role that delivers real outcomes for the people of NSW. The salary for this position is Transport Grade 7 ($113,121-$126,695) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
