Transport Scheduler

Overview:
A position for a Transport Scheduler has become available at Snapes Project Logistics.
Snapes is a family-owned transport logistics business who operates nationally. We are looking for an experienced person to join our fantastic team. This role is integral to our business, and this is a great opportunity to join a rapidly expanding organisation.
Duties will include the following:
- Oversee and coordinate the planning of all daily pickups and deliveries.
- Effective and cost-efficient allocation of company resources
- Liaise with customers through constant communication.
- Allocating loads to drivers to ensure delivery windows and other KPI's are met to the customers standards.
- Utilisation of systems/software to maximise efficiencies
- Data entry of customers’ orders.
- Customer and internal reporting.
- Liaising with the Operational Team to co-ordinate company-wide activities
Experience and skills required:
- Previous experience is a similar role essential
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Organisational problem-solving abilities
- Strong computer & software skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills to liaise with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong time management and organisational skills with an ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Great attention to detail
This is a hands-on Operational / administration position dealing directly with staff and drivers and customers, troubleshooting various issues throughout the day and continual prioritising resources to meet the needs of our customers.
