About the role
- This opening is for a Transport Scheduler / Radio Room Operator to join our Team at Brisbane Airport
- This is a Full time, Permanent Role (AM Starts)
- You will be tasked with allocating pickups to the fleet and bulk drivers, taking into consideration space, time, and location. Load restraint, chain of responsibility and fatigue management legislation all need to be adhered to.
- Allocate pickups to fleet drivers, considering collection times, weight and dimensions.
- Ensure drivers have correct pickup paperwork, including reverse logistics consignments.
- Allocate bulk pickups to trucks, considering required space, travel time and load restraint requirements. Fatigue management needs to be monitored with all heavy vehicle fleet drivers.
- Be the initial point of contact for the fleet and bulk drivers and escalate any matters to the supervisor team.
- Be the central point of contact for account managers or escalations. All emails need to be replied to professionally and within a reasonable time frame.
- Communicate any delays from requested pickup time to customers to maintain and improve customer experience.
- Communicate to customers any collections that will not be able to be completed and organize for them to be booked in for the next business day.
- Report to supervisors and manager all missed collections each day, including driver name and route number.
- Work collaboratively as part of the fleet team, to ensure all work is covered and routes are completed daily. Collaboration will be required with other TGE sites radio rooms.
What you'll bring
- Strong computer skills.
- Strong written and verbal skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaborate as part of a team.
- Sound knowledge of the Brisbane metropolitan and surrounding regional areas.
- Strong understanding of load restraint, chain of responsibility and fatigue management legislation.
- Be able to build a thorough understanding of our key services and products
- Be able to prioritize tasks when required.
- Previous experience in a similar role (preferred but not mandatory)
