Our client, a well-established and reputable Legal Firm, have a rare Trust and Accounts Officer opportunity within their Gold Coast office.
You will be responsible for the management of the firm's Trust Account and controlled money accounts. Reporting to the Finance Manager, your key duties will include:
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of trust regulations and ensure compliance with firm policies.
- Take complete ownership of firm Trust and controlled monies processing, including receipts, payments, investing funds and withdrawals.
- Ensure accuracy in data input and demonstrate ability to work autonomously without direct supervision.
- Provide second-tier support for lawyers and Practice Executives, including billing, client and matter management, and time and costs management.
- Ensure all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Manage practice management and document management systems, striving for continuous improvement.
- Degree in Accounting preferred.
- Exposure to legal environment advantageous.
- Strong Excel Skills
- Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective time management and organisational abilities.
- Willingness to collaborate and operate autonomously when required.
