TUCKSHOP CASUAL CONVENOR - ROBINA STATE SCHOOL

POSITION STARTS - IMMEDIATE 

Role Title: Retail Assistant - Retail Operations Stream
Location: Robina State School
Employment Status: Casual
Salary: Parent and Citizens Association Award – State 2016
Reports To: Operations Manager
Hours: Approximately 8-10 hours per week - 2 days a week. During School term. You may be required to work outside standard rostered working hours on occasion to fulfil the requirements of this position. 
Probation Period: Three (3) months
 

Role of this position:

The successful applicant will be working alongside our long-term Managing Tuckshop convenor. Our Tuckshop is responsible for providing a balanced range of nutritional food to students and staff within the school, while maintaining a high standard of hygiene in the preparation, presentation and serving of food.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Collate orders and prepare lunches and snacks for students and staff
• Manage the tuckshop in accordance with the policies and standards of Robina SS, QAST and Education Qld
• Organise and assist volunteers in the tuckshop
• Maintain a high level of hygiene
• Have a sound knowledge of nutrition needs and food safety
• Oversee ordering of stock
• Check and record deliveries 
• Count, rotate and store stock
• Basic cleaning duties 
• Great communication skills with students, staff and parents
• Highly organised and essential time management skills

Qualifications & experience

• Must hold a current paid blue card
• A Food Safety Supervisor Certificate or equivalent is desirable but not necessary
• Experience in a school tuckshop or similar canteen supervisory roles would be beneficial

Working Relationships:  The successful applicant will be employed by the P&C Association. Directly overseen by the P&C Operations Manager and the P&C Executive Committee.
