About the role:
This is a newly created role is accountable to the Deputy CEO and is responsible for ensuring the delivery, development, and successful outcomes of the Pathways and Programs team. The focus will be on the successful delivery of the International Study Tours, Scholarships, Internships, and Mid-Career opportunities, and the Indigenous Pathways Portal.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee developing and managing the Symposium and Study Tour operational plan, calendar of events, and budget.
- Developing and implementing the Partnerships Strategy.
- Act as a central point of contact for all internal stakeholders regarding university strategic partner engagement.
- Act as a central point of contact for all external university and strategic partners.
- Collaborate with all Aurora program Managers to determine external stakeholder engagement needs.
- Develop and implement a calendar of engagements to promote all programs and opportunities
- Identify, develop and maintain strategic partnerships with key universities in Australia and internationally, and Indigenous sector organisations.
- Develop, implement and monitor MOUs and engagement schedules.
- Attend relevant external stakeholder events to promote or raise awareness of Aurora and its 5-year strategy, and programs and opportunities.
- Regularly report on the status of university engagements and strategic partnerships to the DCEO.
- Develop and maintain all partnerships, pathways and program collateral.
- Ensure program and partnership information on Aurora’s website and media platforms is accurate and up to date
- Ensure all information on the Charlie Perkins Scholarship Trust website remains relevant and current
- Support Pathways Manager with the implementation of Aurora’s Pathways Strategy.
- Support the DCEO to develop, implement and monitor the Pathways and Partnerships operational plans.
- Support Pathways Program Manager to develop individual program operational plans aligned to the Pathways and Partnerships operational plans to achieve Aurora’s 5-year Strategy and funding KPIs.
- Monitor the implementation of Pathways operational plan against KPIs. Where there is a risk of a KPI not being met, establish and implement plans to mitigate the shortfall.
- Collaborate with other managers to co-design and implement strategic initiatives aligned with Aurora's strategy.
- Review Pathways and individual program operational effectiveness and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
- Conduct research and analyses on university and employment trends to inform program and stakeholder activities.
- Identifying partnership and program risks and opportunities
- Supporting and guiding Executive decision-making processes

About you:
- Passionate about supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people
- Be a leader who prioritises purpose and people and is dedicated to achieving excellence, promoting well-being, and fostering personal and professional growth.
- Demonstrated understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, organisations, histories, and the strengths and issues facing Indigenous people in Australia in meeting their aspirations
- Promote cultural, psychological, and child safety and encourage an inclusive and supportive environment.
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to collaborate across teams.
- Well-developed written communication capabilities.
- Ability to balance taking direction and exercising initiative.
- Bachelor’s degree in education, project management, or a related field or equivalent experience.
- 5+ Years experience in Senior Leadership and leading teams which teams including Program and Engagement Managers.
- Previous experience as a Strategy Manager and/or Program Lead in a large organisation or agency
- Prior experience with managing corporate and large Partnerships and/or sponsorships
- Experience using Microsoft suite of programs and CRM
