About the role
We are a seeking passionate, customer focused and team oriented Urban Planner to develop their planning skills and help shape the future of Glen Eira! Our Urban Planning team prides itself on providing premier customer service and delivering a solution focused, professional and efficient planning service.
You will deliver professional planning services to Council applicants and the local community to ensure that Council's statutory obligations under relevant legislation are met.
Other duties include:
- Processing planning applications and enquiries with a focus on solution focused outcomes to ensure for well informed and quality planning outcomes
- Preparing and presenting planning submissions at the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal or other proceedings, with the support and guidance of the Urban Planning team
- Researching and understanding changes to planning legislation, policy, processes, and procedures and how they apply to your work, being involved in continuous improvement projects with the team to ensure our collective professional growth
About you
To be considered for this opportunity, we are seeking individuals that are tertiary qualified with demonstrated experience in the planning field, either in state/local government or private practice.
- A tertiary qualification in town planning or a related field.
- Understanding of State and Local planning issues.
- Ability to effectively manage a workload.
