About the opportunity

Due to a rapidly expanding portfolio of projects, CV Infrastructure Design is looking at expanding our URD design team.

The role requires the design of power distribution (subdivision) projects including development of concept and detailed design scopes for design projects in both the Energex and Ergon regions of Queensland. This is a hands-on role which would suit a motivated professional who enjoys working within a close-knit team. This is a fantastic opportunity to use your skills to make a difference in the delivery of exciting property development projects across Queensland.

Training will be provided to the successful candidate however experience within the distribution network for Energex and great communication skills are preferable.

Duties:

• Design of Energex underground and overhead networks
• Street lighting design under Rate 2 and Council Rate 3 requirements
• The production of concept and masterplans for subdivision projects
• Liaise with councils, Energex, the internal Construction Project Managers and design team members to ensure project requirements are met
• Ensure that all necessary reviews, verifications, and validations are planned and conducted, and the outcomes of these are incorporated into the design
• Liaise with all relevant Authorities on design and construction parameters, permits and approvals
• Ensure that the design conforms to all safety, environmental, construction, commissioning, and operating requirements with the assistance of our quality and RPEQ team

Skills & Experience

• 1 + years electrical project / design experience
• Knowledge of power distribution networks
• Prior experience using AutoCAD and lighting software (Desirable)
• Ability to hit the ground running with new and existing projects.
• Understanding of relevant Australia and Queensland standards for electricity
• Well-developed written and oral communication skills with competent computer skills with Microsoft Office Packages (project, word and excel etc.)
