The opportunity
Federation Council is seeking an experienced, motivated, and suitably qualified individual for the position of Utilities Coordinator.
You will be required to coordinate and instruct the water treatment, sewage treatment and reticulation teams in the operation, maintenance, repair and upgrading of water supply and sewage treatment, pumping, storage and reticulation systems to provide drinking water and treated effluent that meets industry, health and environmental best practice standards and legislative requirements.
Skills and experience required
- Qualification in plumbing combined with extensive experience in the water and sewerage industry, or Certificate III or IV in Water Industry Treatment or Certificate III or IV Water Industry Operation combined with extensive experience in the water and sewerage industry;
- Hold a Supervisory Certificate/Qualification such as Cert IV Frontline Management or equivalent;
- Construction Induction Certificate (White Card);
- Confined spaces entry accreditation;
- A current and valid class "C" driver's licence.

The successful applicant will have a demonstrated ability to coordinate work teams and possess a sound technical and operational knowledge of reticulation and treatment plant operations and associated maintenance activities. The appointment will be in accordance with the Local Government State Award and Council’s policies and conditions of employment. The wages will be within the range of $1,615.10 to $1,873.10 per week (plus standard and on call allowances when applicable), depending on experience and qualifications.
