Cabonne Council has an exciting opportunity to join our Water Utilities department as the coordinator. This role provides leadership in the day-to-day workings of Water and Wastewater services to the community.
This role is a full-time role, based out of Cudal.

The operation does not require shift work or rotational rostering, instead working Monday to Friday, providing flexibility for the perfect work/life balance. The position operates over a 35-hour week with a 9-day fortnight.

Purpose of the Position
- Toensure the successful completion of the budgeted operations, maintenance andcapital works program for Water and Wastewater.
- Provideleadership in the day-to-day workings of the Water and Wastewater services tothe community, applying a high level of customer service and responsiveness andensuring relevant regulatory compliance and licensing requirements aremaintained.
- Tocoordinate the delivery of projects on time, budget and in accordance withCouncil’s Project Management Framework.
- Toassist in the development and maintenance of asset management plans for Waterand Wastewater assets in accordance with Council’s Asset and FinancialManagement frameworks and enabling data driven decision making.

Qualifications:
Essential
- Highlevel people management skills.
- Relevantindustry qualifications and experience OR 5+ years’ experience in a similarrole.
- ClassC driver’s license.
Desirable
- CertificateIV Water Industry Operations or equivalent experience
- Liquifiedchlorine gas awareness training.
- Fluoridetraining.
- ConstructionInduction Certificate (White Card)
Skills & Experience:
- Demonstrated experience in the following fields:
- water and wastewater treatment industry,
- operating a water and/or wastewater treatment plant,
- operating ClearSCADA in treatment plant operations,
- and water quality testing and sampling.
- Sound understanding of relevant legislation including Australian Drinking Water Guidelines, Liquid Trade Waste Regulation Guidelines, Australian Wastewater Reuse Guidelines, Australian New Zealand Surface Water Guidelines.
- Experience in leading, motivating and building capability of staff.
- Knowledge of project management and successful delivery of projects.
- Knowledge of asset management, planning and using data for decision making.
- Excellent communication and negotiating skills.
- Commitment to exceptional customer service and ability to manage customer expectations.
- Computer and systems skills and the ability to learn and apply new technologies.
- Experience in financial management, setting and monitoring budgets.

- This position is graded 9-11 ($1515.20 - $1900.00 gross per week).
