What is this role all about?
- Fleet Maintenance Management:
- Coordinate and oversee regular maintenance, inspections, and repairs of the car rental fleet.
- Schedule preventive maintenance to ensure vehicles meet safety and performance standards.
- Work closely with both external mechanical and panel service providers to address any issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, service history, and repairs for each vehicle.
- Create and update maintenance schedules for the entire fleet.
- Generate reports on Vehicle Maintenance costs and trends.
- Conduct regular quality checks on rental vehicles to identify and address any potential issues.
- Collaborate with the cleaning and detailing team to ensure vehicles are presented in excellent condition to customers.
- Establish and maintain relationships with external vendors and service providers.
- Negotiate service agreements and monitor vendor performance to ensure adherence to service level agreements.
- Develop and implement protocols for handling vehicle breakdowns or accidents.
- Coordinate with roadside assistance services and ensure a swift response to any incidents.
What do we need from you?
To be successful in this position, our new team member will be able to demonstrate the following:
- Previous experience in automotive maintenance or fleet management is preferred.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to prioritise your workload and have exceptional organisational skills
- Knowledge of Vehicle Maintenance best practices and regulations.
- Strong experience with Microsoft office, in particular Excel and Outlook are a must
- Familiarity with rental industry operations or a Mechanical qualification is a plus.
- Full Drivers Licence
