The role
The VET Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for the academic management, coordination, and administration of the CRICOS VET Programs. Working in conjunction with the Director of ihBC, this individual is accountable for the provision of high-quality VET programs by ensuring the delivery, training and assessments of each program are coherent in design, planning, management, delivery, and assessment, and compliant against the relevant training packages, ASQA, ESOS National Code, and State and Territory requirements.
In this role you will:
- Ensure Director of ihBC and staff are aware of changes to Standards, Acts, requirements, funding models, etc;
- Conduct Quality Assurance Sessions with staff and trainers.
- Conduct annual internal audits against individual standards.
- Support the Director with annual compliance self – assessment.
- Manage AVETMISS reporting.
- Support the Director with the application and management of state-based funding contracts.
- Support the Director with addition and amendment to scope.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by reviewing teaching and assessment strategies.
- Review policies and procedures to meet compliance when changes to business and educational practice occur with Director of ihBC.
- Monitor compliance activities undertaken by ihBC staff and trainers including the professional development and currency of trainers and assessors.
- Maintaining a positive relationship with the National VET Regulator, participating in audits, and responding to requests for data.
- Plan and Manage industry consultation, validation, and moderation.
- Plan, schedule, and conduct assessment validation processes.
- Manage Trainer/Assessor compliance documentation – support Trainers/Assessors in compiling their trainer matrix document and supporting evidence.
- Plan and oversee Trainer/Assessor professional Development.
- Attend webinars, and events relevant to compliance and training prepare reports for higher management.
- Work on other projects as required by the needs of the college.
What you'll need to succeed
- Tertiary qualifications with a VET education discipline
- Minimum 2 years' experience in Quality Assurance and Education Management roles.
- Education systems experience
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
