Veterinary Nurse

Vet 2 You has an exciting opportunity for a Certificate IV qualified Veterinary nurse to join our amazing team! 

Vet 2 You on the Yorke Peninsula of South Australia provides professional, friendly and affordable health care for your pets and livestock. Your key responsibilities will include:

Providing effective support to veterinarians in all aspects of veterinary nursing, including animal handling, IV catheter placement, blood collection & analysis, anaesthesia, and care of hospitalised patients

• Provision of high-standard patient and customer care at all times
• Maintaining clean and organised clinical workspaces
• Perform sedation and anaesthesia for various procedures
• Assisting with reception and administration tasks as required
• Educating pet owners on nutrition, husbandry and preventative health care

We are looking for a nurse with:

• Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (essential)
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience
• Experience in emergency and triage 
• An approachable personality and strong team ethic
• The ability to support junior staff members and lead by example 
• A high level of organisational skills
• Ability to work independently in a self-driven manner, whilst also encouraging teamwork
• Ability to deliver excellent patient care and customer service at all times
• Excellent communication skills, even in high-pressure and stressful situations
• A genuine love of animals and the veterinary profession
• A commitment to ongoing training and professional development
