East Doncaster Vet Hospital is looking for an experienced, energetic and enthusiastic nurse to join our team.
Our clinic is a small animal practice, with a diverse and interesting case load and an incredible client base, that will always go the extra mile to ensure our team can deliver gold standard in veterinary care for their pets.
We do everything in house and only refer for CT and spinal cases. Our clinic provides our nurses with the ability to learn and grow, with complex cases and an incredible team of dedicated vets, that respect and rely on the support of our nursing team and are always happy to train, support and educate our nursing team.
We offer an environment that will ensure you can grow your skills, focus on areas of special interest and be exposed to a huge variety of nursing tasks. We encourage our nurses to challenge themselves and take on all aspects of the nursing role, including:
- Surgical nursing, monitoring anesthetics and recovery of patients
- Emergency nursing and critical care
- IV Catheters, blood collections, Scale and polishes and laboratory work
- Performing x-rays
- Nurse consulting, including dental checks, post op checks and admit and discharge
- Reception assistance and developing strong relationships with our clients demonstrating clear verbal and written communication with clients and appropriate organisation of appointment booking.
- General nursing duties, providing a high level of patient care.
- Performing X-rays
- Building meaningful relationships with our clients and pets
Skills required to be successful in this role:
- Certificate qualified, with at least 1 year of experience nursing
- Experience in all aspects of nursing and a desire to learn and develop
- Exceptional customer service skills and experience with reception duties
- A positive, friendly and enthusiastic personality
