Our client, an established Canberra security vetting business and existing panel member with over ten years of experience providing security clearance assessments to Federal Government clients, is looking to grow their team.
They currently have a need for a Vetting Officer to conduct face to face and video interviews as a key part of the vetting process. If you are seeking to transition into part-time position from a policing, intelligence or investigation background, this could be the opportunity for you.
As an experienced interviewer; you already know that the role will require you to analyse, assess, and process information for suitability to hold a security clearance. This includes face-to-face and telephone interviews, preparing written reports, and making recommendations to clients on the candidates’ suitability.
You must have strong communication skills, sound typing and ICT skills, and using your exceptional attention to detail, and ability to process information logically to assist with making sound judgments.
As these roles are going to allow the company to meet an increased demand in workload; to be successful in this role you must be able to hit the ground running. This means you must already have:
- a Certificate IV in Personnel Vetting;
- a current NV1 security clearance
- experience in vetting clearance applications; specifically NV1, NV2 and PV level clearances
- high attention to detail and accuracy
- high written and verbal communication skills
- high levels of integrity and discretion
Our client is flexible in their approach and is open to permanent salaried positions and contract roles. Canberra based opportunity only.
Remuneration is based on skills and experience.
