Your responsibilities: As the State Manager, you'll be responsible for a wide range of operational activities, including but not limited to:
- Leadership and Management: You'll oversee the day-to-day operations of the Victoria team, including rostering, patient transport scheduling, logistics, and driving performance
- Stakeholder Relationships: You'll maintain positive relationships with our clients, employees and external service providers
- People Management: You'll manage but most importantly support your team through performance management and development initiatives
- Fleet and Equipment Management: You'll ensure each base is in operational readiness with three base leaders reporting directly to you. You’ll have support from our national Fleet and Warehouse Coordinator.
- Strategic Goals: You'll align team activities with SMA’s strategic goals, performance targets, and statutory obligations.
- Regulatory Compliance: You'll ensure adherence to SMA’s policies and regulatory requirements across various domains
- You have proven experience in an operational management role.
- You possess strong leadership and people management skills.
- You have an excellent understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements.
- You're able to develop and maintain positive relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- You exhibit a high level of strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
- While formal qualifications are not a strict requirement for this role, previous experience in healthcare would be beneficial. The primary focus for this position is your proven ability to manage people effectively and drive performance within a team
